Manage Account Settings and Phone Numbers

Summary

Use Settings in the top bar to open Account Settings. This is the main profile and phone-management workspace for your account. Use it to update your name, add and verify your personal number for Live Call access, choose unmanaged proxy call handling, and manage the numbers listed in Phone Numbers.

Prerequisites

  • You can sign in to CallCues.
  • You can answer a verification call on the personal number you want to use.
  • Your workspace includes the account or phone features described on this page.

Open Account Settings

Select Settings in the top bar to open Account Settings.

The page can be described as a Profile workspace and typically includes these tabs:

  • Account
  • Phone Numbers
  • Phone Settings when per-number settings are available in your workspace

The top of the page can also show status tags such as Profile workspace, Refreshing numbers, and Phone Settings Ready.

Update your profile information

Open the Account tab to review these sections:

  • Personal Information
  • Contact & Authentication
  • Unmanaged Proxy Calls

Use the fields First Name, Last Name, and Email Address to confirm your account details.

Select Save Changes to keep updates.

CallCues can validate the form with First name is required.

After saving, you can see:

  • Saved and Profile updated successfully. when the update succeeds
  • Error and Failed to update profile. Please try again. when it does not

Add and verify your personal phone

You must add and verify a phone number before accessing Live Call.

If your workspace uses Call Me, the same requirement appears as A verified personal number is required.

Check your current status

In Contact & Authentication, review the Verification Phone field.

You can see one of these states:

  • No verification phone set.
  • Unverified
  • Verified

The available action can change based on the current state:

  • Add & Verify Phone
  • Verify Now
  • Change Number

Verify a phone number

  1. Select Add & Verify Phone, Verify Now, or Change Number.
  2. In Verify Phone Number, enter the number in Phone Number.
  3. Use the placeholder guidance US number or international + number.
  4. If the format is invalid, correct the error Enter a valid US number or an international number starting with +.
  5. Select Call Me.

After the call starts, you can see Calling ... Listen for your 6-digit verification code.

  1. Select I have my code.
  2. Enter the code where the page says Enter the 6-digit code you heard on the call.
  3. Select Verify.

If verification succeeds, CallCues confirms with Verified and Phone number verified successfully!

If the call cannot be started, you can see Failed to initiate verification call.

If the code is not accepted, you can see Failed to verify. Please try again.

Review unmanaged proxy call handling

In Unmanaged Proxy Calls, choose how CallCues should handle answered calls when your workspace uses unmanaged proxy calling.

Available options can include:

  • AMD only
  • Press 1 only
  • Both AMD and Press 1

Manage your phone inventory

Open the Phone Numbers tab to manage the numbers available in your workspace.

This area is labeled Phone inventory and can explain that you can Buy managed numbers, register external lines, and jump into per-number phone settings for capture defaults, voicemail, and call forwarding.

Use Refresh to reload the list. While CallCues updates the inventory, you can see Refreshing numbers.

Review existing numbers

The main list appears under My Numbers.

If you do not have any numbers yet, CallCues shows No phone numbers yet. Purchase a managed number or register your own below.

Each number can include labels and status such as:

  • Managed
  • Unmanaged
  • active
  • pending_verification
  • Voicemail On
  • Voicemail Off
  • Forwarding On
  • Forwarding Off

Available actions can include:

  • Manage Settings
  • Open Inbox
  • Release Number

Purchase a managed number

  1. In Purchase a Number, choose a Country.
  2. Enter an Area Code if you want to narrow the search.
  3. Select Search.
  4. Review the available results, then select Purchase for the number you want.
  5. Confirm the action in Confirm Purchase.

If CallCues cannot find matches, it shows No available numbers found. Try a different area code or country.

If your workspace has reached its number limit, it shows You've reached your limit of X phone number(s). Release an existing number to add a new one.

After a successful purchase, CallCues confirms with Purchased <number>.

Register your own number

Use Register Your Own Number when you want to bring in a number you already own for proxy caller ID use.

The form can explain: Register a number you own to use as a proxy caller ID.

  1. Enter the number in Phone Number.
  2. Select Register.

After the number is added, CallCues confirms with <number> registered. Verification required.

Release a number

  1. Select Release Number for the number you no longer need.
  2. Confirm the action in Confirm Release.

After the release completes, CallCues can show Released and <number> has been released.

Continue into per-number workflows

After your inventory is set up, use the number-level actions to continue:

  • Select Manage Settings to open Phone Settings for voicemail, forwarding, and capture defaults.
  • Select Open Inbox to move directly into the voicemail workflow for that number.

Expected outcome

You should have an up-to-date profile, a verified personal number for Live Call access, and a phone inventory that is ready for voicemail, forwarding, and inbox workflows.
